Thermal Throttling

As SSDs continue to provide ever-higher capacities and come with smaller dimensions, they will concurrently generate more heat. As a result, more effective heat dissipation methods are essential to countering this and preventing data corruption or loss. Thermal Throttling is a technology that combats extreme temperatures and therefore protects SSDs and the data inside from harm. 

ADATA’s Thermal Throttling technology is designed to detect SSD operating temperatures that exceed the normal range. Once detected, it will adjust SSD performance to reduce temperatures. After temperatures have fallen to a safe level, the SSD will resume normal operations and return to optimal performance. This technology ensures that data stored in the SSD are safe from extreme temperatures, while also helping to extend SSD lifespan.
