• CXL is a next-gen interface that adds efficiency to accelerators, DRAM, and storage devices used with CPUs in high-performance server systems.

• Samsung CXL DRAM supports PCle 5.0 interface (x8 lanes) and provides bandwidth of up to 35GB/s.

• Kioxia and WDC are speeding up merger talks and nailing down a deal structure, as a slumping flash memory market puts fresh consolidation pressure on the world's No.2 & 4 players.

• WDC shared its views on flash market trends in its 3Q23 financial results, which revealed its flash revenue was down 10% Q/Q and 42% Y/Y.
